• A chai spiced blend to uplift the spirit and warm the heart

It’s finally here!!  Track 3 of our Incense DJ Tracklist, Back to Life

Inspired by one of my favorite creators found during 2020 who is an expert on all things Chai (and an all around lovely person to see on my screen), I wanted to pay homage to Chai with this incense.  

Chai is a deeply beloved mix of aromatic herbs for tea and flavorings, each herb is also frequently found in incense blends.  

While everyone has their own specific blends and techniques to make Chai spice, I decided the best way to make this tribute was to stick with the classics.  So that's exactly what I did.   A blend of Cardamom, Ginger, Peppercorn, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Clove, and a delicious Ginger Black Tea is combined with Frankincense Carterii.   These herbs come together to make this incense track truly out of this world.   

Back 2 Life is a track by Soul II Soul and an all time favorite of mine.  I found it to be a perfect match for the energy of a Chai blend.  Back To Life echoes this song’s vibe with a smooth, comforting pace, eventually unravelling into a gently invigorating momentum to get you out of the funk and... Back To Life.  We are terribly starved for groove at the moment, and this blend is just the ticket!  

This blend will act as a big, delicious comforting hug that you need on these cold winter days and nights.  The spice blend lasts in the air as an aromatic chorus to last for quite a while. 

While I’m not the first person to combine these aromatics into an incense or fragrance profile (by centuries), I have to say I feel almost a part of a super secret in club now.  The parallels between culinary flavors, metaphysical actions, and aromatic components are always closer than we assume. The process of crafting this blend brought my creativity back to life in a way that reminded me exactly why I do what I do.
